I started this adventure because of the need for a place to live with dignity and comfortably close to my job. I found this wonderful place, where every day I get home after a long day at work it feels like I'm arriving at a comfortable hotel room. I can relax for a long time in the whirlpool tub, before going to take a shower and go to bed to sleep. Thank you Marquis at Great Hills

I lived in Marquis at Great Hills for an year and can't say enough positive things about this community and its outstanding property manager Tanisha and her team. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly. I liked lush greenery, serene atmosphere and very nice pool area in the apartment. Security and maintenance were also top priorities at Marquis at Great Hills. I always felt safe and secure, and any maintenance requests were handled swiftly and efficiently. The maintenance team was always friendly and professional, ensuring that my apartment was in perfect condition.

We living in Marquis at Great Hills for over 1year. The pool is open for one day and then closed for one month; whereas the complex entrance gate is only able to automatically close for like a day, and the rest of the month the gate is down, open and under maintenance. Stealing and vandalism keep happening. You wonder why, because the damn entrance gate is never ever able to close. Visitors keep occupying residents' parking spots, most time for months. Their toll service seems never works. Recycle dumpsters sometimes are so full that trash is blowing everywhere. Besides the cons, their response to maintenance requests is efficient and top notch.

Continuing my two-year stay here, I'm pleased to say I have no major complaints. The management remains attentive to our needs, which is a big plus. The abundance of trees creates a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for leisurely walks in the shade. The central location is fantastic, with easy access to essentials like Target, Costco, and Sam's Club. Being near the Domain adds to the convenience. Overall, a great place to call home.

Pros: The location is fine, but definitely not walkable or bike friendly. The apartments predate the micro-unit “luxury” trend so the units are livable and don’t feel like dormitory units. Cons: The kitchens are dark, cramped, and don’t fit more than one person at a time. Unless you’re a single person living alone, you’ll get frustrated trying to share kitchen duties. CWS charges luxury rent for old apartments. This seems to be in line with the rental market in Austin, but it’s a bit much when the maintenance and amenities don’t justify the cost. It feels like they’re charging this much just to cover the ongoing repairs and renovations at the expense of current residents. Maintenance requests get a perfunctory response and slow resolution. For instance, my AC unit was out for over a year, and they just did things like say “I refilled your Freon” or change the air filter. After a year they finally scheduled the right people to resolve the issue. During that time, we had heat rashes and we’re constantly seeing doctors for heat-related illness. Other maintenance issues included nonfunctional outlets, a deteriorating shower curtain rod, a ceiling hole that I had to patch up myself, and improperly installed living room carpet padding, which I was charged for upon moving out. I moved in during the pandemic and got nothing but excuses, yet they didn’t hesitate to raise my rent by almost 50%. The trash situation is hell—I don’t know how people living on that side deal with this. Trash bags often accumulate near the compactor, and while CWS charges for valet trash service, their people just drive trash to the compactor, overload the bins, and leave mountains of trash. Residents end up using recycling dumpsters to throw out trash bags because the property management can’t figure out how to do the most basic property management service. Bottom line: The units themselves are fine. Living here, you would have to choose to be the annoying tenant constantly calling or just pay to fix things yourself. Also if they mark your request as resolved and didn’t fix it, immediately follow up and open another issue because they will forget you and possibly charge you on your way out.

Do NOT move there. Too many issues. Very poor management. Back in February and April of 2023. I had issues with my money being transferred from my back account $2000 in February and then another $10K in April. Investigation by my bank showed that someone got access to my mail box and used promotional checks to transfer money out. I came to the leading office to complain a few time - they just lifted their shoulders saying it’s not their issue. In November 2023 my appointment got flooded from the vacant unit above. As I noticed a first few drops of water I called for help. I got help only 4 hours later by that time my apartment looked like a pool of water. Next day they installed noisy equipment in my apartment to dry the walls. It was so loud, it was humid, it was hot inside and smelled like glue and paint. Also my puppy was so scared of that noise and was shaking in the corner. I went to the leading office to talk to the manager. She was already updated on what’s happened. I was trying to find a solution explaining that I work from home and it’s too noisy and impossible to be inside and talk to my clients. Also that my puppy is so scared and stressed of that noises. On what she didn’t even apologize. She was very rude saying “what do you want me to do to babysit your puppy?”, “it was an accident - not my fault. If you need help, talk to your insurance company” - she said. I asked her to break my lease. She agreed to talk to her manager. It was Monday. On Tuesday afternoon she called giving me an option to break a lease but I had to move out by Saturday. It was Tuesday afternoon!!!! So I had only 3 days to find a new place , pack everything , sing a lease. My work was busy too. Of course last minute movers would want yo charge me a lot for the move. I called that manager Megan ask if they would at least help me covering moving expenses- but not even that. No application fees for new place , no other expenses and of course no loss of my personal property. But beyond everything no one ever apologized, she is been very rude all the time. Few other things to consider: dog park is always covered in poop. Too often trash overflows with door poop for weeks and no one cleans. It stinks

We've been living at Marquis at Great Hills for a couple of years and it's been good so far. You have the usual apartment offerings but what makes it unique is the reliability of the management and maintenance teams day in and day out. These people makes the community going alongside the support of the residents

Amazing staff, Spoke with the assistant director Tanisha on the phone she is wonderful and willing to help in any way she can. Excellent location: sam’s club, Costco, and Trader Joe’s within a short walk (10-15min). Pet friendly. And the pool is AMAZING!!! Great place to relocate!
